Glo-cal-ist:

a person who is a local of several cities or regions.

The Glocalist aims to show you how to be a local anywhere in the world. Tailored to young travelers, our guides offer authoritative information for those looking to dive into the world’s cultural scenes and emerge a local. Much like the farm-to-table movement, this digital publication seeks to give you locally sourced travel information. Glocalist readers can ride the local transportation like a pro commuter; sip on the signature drink at the neighborhood dive bar; and crawl through the underground night scene like a residential hipster.

Locally sourced and globally spread, The Glocalist is an interactive cultural guide that takes the world and transforms it into your neighborhood.

I have a tough time sitting still. Moving city and country every few years since early childhood can do that to you. Thanks to my father’s job, I’ve lived in places like Switzerland, France, and the United Kingdom for most of my life, and have had the chance to visit several others. That constant movement developed an inherent restlessness in me and cultivated my global curiosity, prompting me to explore countless cities around the world. Now, as a graduating Magazine Journalism senior at Syracuse University, I'm enlisting that wanderlust and the multimedia storytelling skills I’ve learned to uncover the spirit of a place and its people for other restless, curious travelers.
